Alan Morales is a 18 year-old political science and pre-law major from Madison, Wisconsin, and raised in Mexico. He is a social activist interested in being part of a government by the people, for the people.
Morales would like to support and expand on student equity’s food programs and work to provide more inexpensive and healthy options on campus, increase collaboration and communication between the senate and campus student advocacy groups such as the Black Student Union.
Reducing plastic use on campus, installing new water fountains, lowering tuition and providing more book grants and hosting cultural events are also platform goals.
Morales said keeping students informed of the Associated Student Government is vital and he would like to do this through creating a monthly blog and videos along with recording all meetings to be posted on the groups Facebook and website.
Morales has served as a city council member in Madison and was student body president of his high school there.
