Janet Jackson’s new album, “Discipline,” was released at the end of last month, her first since “Damita Jo,” in 2004. It is classic Janet Jackson that fans are use to hearing, with a bit of a different direction.
“Discipline” is a mix of pop and hip-hop that makes you want to dance. The 22-track album peaked on the Billboard 200 at number one with over 181,000 copies sold. It is her first number one album since “All For You” in 2001.
The first single, “Feedback,” is a success, and one of the best songs on the album. “LUV,” “Rock with You,” and “Never Letchu Go” are all good songs with nice lyrics. The short and sweet song “4 Words,” is intense and “Bathroom Break” is hilarious.
Janet Jackson is back. “Discipline” is the type of album that you don’t want to stop listening to.
