Vaquero Men’s Volleyball defeated San Diego City College 3-1 Friday evening, during their two-day road trip to San Diego.
After losing their first set 23-30, The Vaqs came back to clean house, winning the next three sets, 30-27, 31-27, and 30-28. Curtis Oliver led the victory with 21 kills.
“It feels good to actually get our first win,” said Head Coach Donald McGraw.
Men’s volleyball couldn’t quite keep the momentum going through Saturday, losing their second game to San Diego Mesa College 3-2 in a five game match. “We need to find a way to be more consistent,” said McGraw. “We struggle to hold the lead.”
