Follow the white rabbit because he’s rushing to get to the music store for a date with Jewel, and this land is not filled with nonsense. Her latest album, “Goodbye Alice in Wonderland,” is full of the classic folk sounds that made her famous, added with some pop, rock and a little bit of country too. She takes the best of these genres and weaves them together with her angelic voice and autobiographical lyrics. “Again and Again” starts the show with a hit as the first track, and the first single. Crafty words and classic Jewel guitar keep the wonder of this album alive for 13 tracks. “Goodbye Alice” has something for everyone. A full range of vocals flowing like an ascending scale, a variety of musical influences, and lyrics expressing growth and maturity, carry this album from the first note to the last. If you are a fan already, you need this album. If not, this is the time to let Jewel change your mind.
