The City College board of trustees voted unanimously to hold the college’s first-ever Classified School Employee Week.
The board decision came Thursday to honor the college’s support staff May 21 to May 27.
According to the resolution, classified staff have helped the college by promoting a “positive instructional environment,” playing a role in “providing for the welfare and safety” of the college, and striving for “excellence in all areas.”
Liz Auchincloss, president of the Classified School Employees Association, and Superintendent-President John Romo, recommended that the college pass the resolution.
