City College girl’s beach volleyball team battled against Moorpark College at 9 a.m. and against Bakersfield College at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 21 on West Beach in downtown Santa Barbara.
Under the burning sun, the Vaqueros lost their first match against Moorpark college with a final score of 3-2 but came back to win against Bakersfield bringing it home with a 5-1 win.
“I’m proud of our girls, we had a lot of off-court struggles this year and as a team we were able to come together and share the pain, mentally, emotionally and physically,” Head Coach Ariana Garner said.
