At 3:02 p.m. on Feb. 12, a campus-wide text was sent out alerting everyone to avoid the East Cliff Campus Student Services parking lot 1A as City College and the Santa Barbara Police Department were responding to a situation.
Paloma Arnold, assistant-superintendent vice president of student affairs, said the situation had to do with domestic incident involving a student and that everyone was okay.
The lot was deemed safe to exit and enter by 4:33 p.m..
