City College students received a campus-wide alert notification declaring an immediate emergency lockdown due to an “active assailant” near Cliff Campus, on Cliff Drive at 3:12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4.
According to an email sent out at 4:20 p.m. by Executive Director of Public Affairs and Communications Jordan Killebrew, an individual armed with what appeared to be a knife, was spotted outside the Luria Library at the West Cliff Campus, while actively assaulting another individual.
SBPD responded and arrested the armed individual and the emergency lockdown was lifted at 3:27 p.m. No injuries have been reported.
An immediate notification was sent out to students at 3:27 p.m. that read, “Threat contained near Cliff Campus, Cliff Drive. Lockdown has been lifted. Doors are unlocked.”
