Silence fell on City College’s campus as friends and faculty members stood in remembrance of the life and impact of deceased DSPS faculty member Janet Hose at a flag lowering ceremony on Monday, Oct. 18.
Individuals from across the campus community joined in an intimate gathering, sharing their stories and memories of Hose, with many echoing her kindness, work ethic and genuine care for everyone she came in contact with.
“A person becomes etched in our emotional memory when they employ in their daily life the most valuable currency of all — kindness,” said DSPS Director Jana Garnett about what makes a person memorable.
