A black Giant Escape model commuter bicycle was stolen between 7:00 p.m. Friday night and 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning from the Learning Resources Center bike rack. The bicycle was left overnight with a cable lock that was chopped off. The bicycle has an estimated price of $350. The owner of the bicycle filed a report with the Santa Barbara Police after being advised to do so by campus security.
April 20 — 1:00 p.m.
A student-made painting was stolen from one of the art classrooms in the Humanities Building. The painting was set aside to dry after it was completed and left there for a about a month before the student realized it had been stolen. No description of the painting was given, but the student valued his work between $300 and $500. No police report was filed.
