City College students voted in favor of renewing their agreement with the Metropolitan Transit District and elected Dylan Raiman as the new president of the Associated Student Government.
The cost of the bus pass will be raised by $2 over the next two years, eventually reaching $32. Students will continue to be able to use their student identification card to get on busses, and can expect to see a $1 increase in their transportation fee as they go to pay for their Fall 2016 tuition.
Raiman, who is currently serving in his first semester as a senator, accepted the new role as president for the upcoming fall semester.
“Instead of placing myself at the top of a power pyramid,” Raiman said in his platform. “I will actively empower other students and student leaders. I will break down barriers of oppression and give a voice to those who are voiceless.”
