Feb. 11 – 7:10 p.m.
A car crash was reported in which a male student collided with a staff vehicle as he was pulling into a parking spot near the Schott Center. The student was uninjured and the staff member was not in the car at the time.
Feb. 12 – 11 a.m.
Campus Security received a report that there had been a possible break-in at the Interdisciplinary Center. A staff member found that several files were missing from their office, though there was no sign of forced entry. An internal investigation is underway to determine the identity of the thief, if any.
Feb. 17 – 11:05 a.m.
Security received a report of a man drinking alcohol in the first floor men’s restroom of the Administration Building. The man was not a City College student, and claimed he chose the location because it was a halfway point between his house on Haley Street and the beach he was headed to. The man was escorted off campus and asked not to return.
Feb. 18 – 7:10 a.m.
An accident was reported involving a campus vehicle and a staff member’s car. The campus vehicle was leaving the East Campus entry when the collision occurred. There were no injuries.
Feb. 18 – 3:15 p.m.
Security was called to investigate reports of a disruptive man in the Office of Student Life. The man was a former student, and has been reported for similar cases numerous times. He refused to leave campus when asked, and was described by teachers and other staff members as having strange and disruptive behavior. They have also noted that he seems to act like it’s all a game. The Santa Barbara Police Department was called to assist him off campus but he had left the scene by the time they got there.
