Jan. 30 – 5:15 p.m.
Campus Security received a report that a student had passed out outside of the Student Services Building. The male was heavily intoxicated and unable to care for himself. After several attempts of waking him up security called the Santa Barbara Police Department who escorted him to a sobering center. The student has been referred to the dean of student discipline to determine the appropriate steps to be taken, given the risks of alcohol and/or drug abuse.
Jan. 30 – 6 p.m.
Security responded to a hit-and-run reported in parking lot 5-3, in which a car had been struck on the right rear side damaging the bumper. The car had been parked unattended from 10 a.m. until about 4:48 p.m. when the owner discovered it had been damaged. Local police responded and a report has been filed.
Feb. 2 – 12:20 p.m.
A student was reported as becoming verbally abusive with a security officer over the phone. The phone call was regarding unpaid parking citations. The student has been referred to the dean of student discipline.
Feb. 2 – 3 p.m.
A female student reported to security that a male student, an ex-boyfriend, had been harassing her through text messaging and social media. The male student has been referred to the dean of student discipline and instructed to cease communication with the female.
Feb. 3 – 9:30 a.m.
A staff member reported that her purse had been stolen from her office in the Business-Communication Center. The office door had been left opened with the purse hidden behind the desk. Police were called and a report has been filed.
