Sept. 7 – 9:30 p.m.
Security received a report Sunday night regarding a 22-year-old male who was seen inside the woman’s restroom on the first floor of the Luria Library. The report stated that the man was seen with his pants down, exposing his buttocks. The suspect was later spotted hanging around the first floor of the library for a short time after the incident, but had left the scene when Campus Security received the report.
Sept. 8 – 10.40 a.m.
An instructor filed a “Student of Concern” report regarding a male student who, during a meeting, seemed to be on some sort of medication causing him to be lacking in energy and behaving anxiously. The instructor expressed concern about his well-being and was referred to a counselor.
Sept. 8 – 1:10 p.m.
Campus Security responded to a report regarding a female student whom was sweating profusely. Her instructor called security and the student stated that she didn’t have breakfast. She was complaining about abdominal pain and was transported to the health and wellness office.
Sept. 9 – 10:54 a.m.
Campus Security received a report from an instructor regarding a disruptive female student. The student had previously been dropped from the course due to disorderly behavior and had emailed the instructor using hateful language. She was referred to the Dean of student discipline.
Sept. 10 – 10:40 a.m.
A female student reported a male student to Campus Security that was allegedly stalking her. The stalking started in the beginning of fall semester and occurred several times a week. She stated that he would show up and join the group she was in, uninvited. Campus Security met with the stalker after receiving the report and he was told to not make contact with her in person, through texting or social media.
Sept. 10 – 5:40 p.m.
Campus Security was notified about a break-in attempt to an instructor’s office. The instructor left the office at 3:40 p.m. When he returned at 5:15, he noticed marks on his door around the lock-mechanism. The break-in was not successful and nothing was reported missing. There are no suspects.
Sept. 10 – 6:50 p.m.
Campus Security received a call from the Luria Library regarding a female child left unattended. The girl was able to give the name of her mother. Security found where the mother was attending class and met with her. They informed her not to leave her child unattended and that she must return to the girl immediately. The mother stated that she had arranged for a babysitter to meet her in the library but when the sitter never showed, the mother went to class. Children are not allowed in classrooms so the mother went home with her child.
