A student’s $2000 MacBook Pro was stolen from the men’s locker room in the Physical Education Building. He left the computer in his backpack unattended for about 30 minutes. The student hasn’t seen the computer since and has made a report to Apple.
May 2
An adult student sent an alarming email to his former instructor, saying he knew where she lived. He had taken one of the instructor’s classes and read that she will teach a class about certain religions. The man wrote an email saying that he was upset with City College’s decision to have the class. He talked with the director of Adult Education and there were no threats towards the instructor or anyone else after.
May 5 – 11:30 a.m.
A student came into the security office and started yelling and swearing to officers as they escorted the student out. The man was upset because of a citation that prevented him from registering for classes. Security officers tried to talk to the student and explained the reason for the registration hold. He has not been back to the security office since. The student was referred to the dean of student discipline.
May 7- 3:45 p.m.
A student started yelling at his instructor and had thrown papers on the ground in front of the instructor. The student tried to turn in several overdue assignments. When the instructor told him that the work was too late he got angry and started yelling. A fellow student tried to calm the student down and he had left by the time the security officers arrived. He has been referred to the dean of student discipline.
