Beyoncé is back with a new album, a different sound and a new side to her that no one has seen – her alter ego Sasha Fierce.
“I Am… Sasha Fierce” dropped on Nov. 18. The album includes two discs. The first CD, “I Am…,” is made up of an eclectic mix of love ballads.
Unlike past albums by Beyoncé, this disc has a pop-rock sound to it. It can be heard in tracks like “That’s Why You’re Beautiful” and “Halo.”
The second disc, “Sasha Fierce,” sung by Beyoncé’s alter ego Sasha, consists of fast-paced, aggressive songs. The hip-hop and techno sound to this album is reflected in tracks including “Diva” and “Radio.”
Each track, on both discs, entertains with its unique lyrics and fresh instrumental pieces.
The album showcases a Beyoncé that’s never been heard before, while delivering the strong love ballads and woman-empowering songs that fans expect.
